Yes, this is our last day in Bangkok, and I need to show my gf the weekend market, Finally!
She have been complaining and complaining about going, not going and the "I don't really care about going there" attitude! Finally, we make it there on the last day of our 17 days stay in Bangkok (no where else ).
First, we had to check out and put all our luggage at the hotel lobby, bc we didn't want to pay another extra day. Time is about 1pm
next, we had to make a last stop at Bo Bae to try to buy something, but wasn't successful. Time is about 2:30p
After that, we went to the MRT to go to the Weekend Market, which took about 30 min to get there by the subway. It's about 3:30pm now. We spend two hours there.
She brought some things and we went back to Chinatown to eat, bc we were running out of time!
When we arrived on Hua Lumphong MRT station, which is the end of the line. She was hungry and needed to go to the restroom. The restroom is located on the Hua Lumphong Train Station. As we exit, she mentioned to me, "That's IT!" That's Roti Buns! WHAT??? I said. The story goes like this: all the time we spend looking for this bread company on Siam Square, which closed down, was right here all this time. When we looked for this Roti Bun, she didn't know the name of the company, " Only Roti Bun" . We spend hours looking for this company, and no luck at all. Now, it's right here and the name was "Mr. Bun!"
As she brought 4 of these buns for 12 bahts each, went to the restroom, which she insisted that I go with her. I mean, "C'mom do I have to go with you" Christ, It's the restroom is over there and you can go by yourself routine.
Afterward, we brought some crepes for 30 & 25 bahts, bc Cebu Pacific flight, doesn't give you any foods or drinks on the plane, but they'll sell you these items.
The time is 6:45p, and we jump on the bus back to Chinatown main area. She's hungry, and I told her earlier that I'll take her to eat some jumbo shrimps or prawns. The place that we wanted to go, was PACKED! We couldn't wait, and my gf got upset about the way the waiter treated us. (if you seen it, they've treated anyone that way. There's just too many people waiting)
So we lefted, and went to the next block to eat. Remember now, that this is Chinatown and the weekend, so there a lot of people and tourists eating out on the street. That's the way Chinatown is all over the world, at least, that's what I know of.
I ordered Oysters with scrambled eggs, which is famous to eat in Southeast Asia. In order for this to be really good, the Oysters have to be really fresh. It's was ok to me, and the cost 100 bahts. She didn't eat it, and complained that it was oily and didn't taste good. I think she, just doesn't know or like Chinese foods. The whole trip for her was KFC, McD, Mr. Donuts. I told her that you should try the other foods, bc you can eat that at home!
7:30p now, and finished eating. I went across the street to order some pork fried-rice to go, but it took so long, bc they had a lot of order and is cooking the food one at a time. Cost 30 bahts.
8P, we make it back to the hotel to pick up the luggages, and off we go to catch the bus to the airport. Gf is dying to go home to Manila.
Waited for the bus, until 8:22, then missed the stop at the Victory Monument. The cost for an a/c bus is 14 bahts.
Waited for some time for the 551 airport bus. finally it came around 9:22, the cost is 34 bahts each.
We get to the end of the bus terminal, and had to take an free airport shuttle bus to international terminal. The time is 10:15pm. Being a wise guy, I mentioned, that "What if we don't make it?", "We might have to spend another day?" Getting this look, that's isn't so kind! Maybe a dirty look!
Make it passed immigration & security check points. Stop to eat some of the foods that we brought.
When mentioned that "this is your last chance to stay!" and I laughed!
Get to the sitting area before the plane, we're on!
She smiles and says to me, "FINALLY, I'm going HOME!"...............................................
Are you sure????? What if we crash????? I mentioned, and laughed. I wasn't well received, lol
Signing Out, and What a day!
