We ate at Inasal for some Filipino BBQ with all you can eat Kain (Rice).
They are famous for their BBQ chicken. The cost is 95 pesos. We had 2 sinigangs, 1) bangus, 1) beef, 2) cokes all for 216 pesos. My gf didn't want to try the beef sinigang, b/c she said, "it might not taste good?" I told her, "If we don't try it, how will we know?" We ordered it, and she try it. She said, "wow, it taste good!" I told her, "Sometimes, you have to try something to know, how it taste?"
I was able to eat 4 bowls of rice. I need this, so I can mix it with my sinigang soup or sauce.
Overall, Taste good! ; )

I Love Bangus (Milk Fish), But I Hate To Eat Fish!
Well, some fish, I'll eat, but barely!
What's a Bangus????
It's the Philippines National Fish! (Milk Fish)
I heard it's very popular in Southeast Asia. The Asian love eating this fish.
I love eating Bangus! Fried or bbq is good. Eat it with vinegar & rice or garlic rice, Mmmmmmm. Oh, the best part, is the Bangus' belly!
The funny part is that I don't real like eating fish. It depends on what kind of fish it is, before I'm willing to eat it. I don't like Lapia Lapia, perch, etc................
I like game fish, like Salmon, Halibut, Yellow tail (raw, not cooked),
I like Sushi too!
Rock cod, depends on which ones?
I love spearfishing, when I'm diving, but like to shoot fish, that I like to eat.

Books That I'm Reading Now!
I think I came with more books, than the things I have in my luggage. Probably, the most things I had is a box with things for my gf and family.
Books that I have been reading:
Still Reading:
Short-Sale Pre-Foreclosure Investing by Dwan Bent-Twyford & Sharon Restrepo (pg 39)
Commercial Real Estate 101, forward by Donald Trump, David Lindahl (pg 61)
Buy Even Lower by Andy Heller, and Scott Frank (Ch 7)
What Every Real Estate Investor Needs To Know About Cashflow by Frank Gallinelli (pg 49)
Books that I finished:
The Dream by Gurbaksh Chahal
Successful Real Estate Investing in Real Estate in a Boom or Bust Market
Will Read:
Bubble Proof by Tonja Demoff
The Casual Millionaire by Tonja Demoff
Hopefully, I will finish all of them. I know that I will be finished with at least 6 books.
I can tell you this, I am able to learn something new from all the books that I read. I'm not much of a book reader, but I love these subjects. The key to reading in find a subject that you find interested in. So far, I love all the books that I've been reading!
While on vacation, it's not easy to read all the time. There are times I'll read only a few pages, to a chapter a day, or a couple of chapters a day. The problem here is that it's HOT here! Which makes you want to sleep! That's why people say that certain people are lazy from those countries. They don't realize, that for some people. It's hard to work in this kind of weather. To me, it depends on your motivation!

Bon Voyage, Chris!
Chris left this morning on a 7am flight on Northwest Airlines.
He told me last night, that he had to leave his hotel room at 5am to get to the airport in Manila.
I had only seen him once, but he told me that he wanted to spend time with his wife, and works things out with her. I don't think he accomplish that goal.
Anyway, I hope he had a good time here in the Philippines.
Bon Voyage, Chris!!!
I'll see and talk to you in San Francisco in the end of March.

My First Friend In The Philippines
What so funny about this is, that I don't know too many people in the Philippines.
On Tuesday, while waiting for Chris, who is late, b/c he's stuck in traffic. Jun shows up, and we were talking in front of UCC Cafe in Robinson's. We didn't want to stand up waiting for another 20-30 min., so Jun suggested that we go to Starbuck's to sit down to wait.
As we started to walk, Jun mentioned, that "hey, that looks like Ron!" It is Ron Dizon! We called out to Ron, and started to small chat with him about real estate, gfs, his business, and how's everything! Also, I met Jun from Ron's group!
What a coincidence to see Ron, b/c he's business is located in Luneta Park area. I'm there every other day walking the dog. I tell my gf, that I want to visit Ron, or I should visit him. I, also told Jun, the same thing. And now, there he is! You see, Ron Dizon is my first cashflow player/friend, that contacted me.
That's two in a Row within a week! All by coincidence! Ron and Mark, but there won't be a third one, b/c Frank had passed!

Quiapo With Chris
This might be the only time, I see Chris here in the Philippines, so we spend some time together looking for some pirated DVD. While in Quiapo, I noticed that all or most of the DVD are copied in Blue Ray. The most advance technology in DVD today. They claimed that it cannot be copied.
I guess the're wrong b/c these DVD are everywhere here in Asia. I don't think the're in the States yet, but I'm expecting them to be there, when I arrive home in late March.
I brought Iron-man, Hulk 2, The Punisher 2, The Dark Knight, The Departed, Hancock, Madgascar 2, and jThe Tale of Despereaux. All for 200 pesos.
While Chris brought most of the latest one, that are showing in the Movies. I didn't want to buy them, b/c I didn't want movies copied from the movies. I'm interested in DVD copied movies. They're more crystal clear, and better to watch. If I have kids, maybe, I'll buy them to entertain them, but I don't!
Anyway, Chris was hot and tired, b/c he came back to his room around 4am, he told me. So I walked with him back to the LRT, so he can get back to his room to rest.
As for me, I had to pick up some eyeglasses for my friend, Ken. After that, I took the LRT back for 12 pesos to avoid the busy 5pm traffic jam in Manila.
I'm now at Jun's place writing blogs, and email people.

Strange: I Met Someone From The Past!
As I attend the morning Cashflow game in Makati at 10am, a young man approached me, and asked me, "Do you remember me?" I said, You're.................. Let me think, I know....... Aaahh, That's it, thinking, Yes, You're "MARK!" We talked a little, then I had to get back to playing the game.
Around 1:05, Jun informed me that we had to leave, and I looked for Mark again. I told me that it was nice seening him again, since I have'nt seen him for quite a while. That was 2001. You see, Mark was the second person, who ever contacted me to want to learn and play the Cashflow game FREE! At that time, I have losted a lot of Money, around 500K, est.
Anyway, Ron Dizon was the first to contact me, then Mark, and Frank..............................., That kind of started it all. I was kind of puzzled with the people here, since this is my first time back to the Philippines, since 1986. I didn't understand why my turn out was so low. Neverless, it was a success, and I met some wonderful people, and I've been coming back here since.
Getting back to Mark, I told him, that I was wondering about "What happened to Mark?" I don't know why? I've been back to the Philippines many times, but this time, I wonder what and where's Mark? After all, this time, where's this guy? And here he is!
That's funny, and I have the cashflow game to thanks for the connection. I have many good memories with the players from this game. From good to Bad, and back around. It's almost like a reunion, and meeting someone again from the long distances that I traveled, and now, seeing him again. What are the Odds? I hope this time around, he'll be financially free!
Rob's have a fun time in Manila and his travels!
Enjoy!!! ; )

Saturday: A Mad Rush To Do Things In Bangkok
Yes, this is our last day in Bangkok, and I need to show my gf the weekend market, Finally!
She have been complaining and complaining about going, not going and the "I don't really care about going there" attitude! Finally, we make it there on the last day of our 17 days stay in Bangkok (no where else ).
First, we had to check out and put all our luggage at the hotel lobby, bc we didn't want to pay another extra day. Time is about 1pm
next, we had to make a last stop at Bo Bae to try to buy something, but wasn't successful. Time is about 2:30p
After that, we went to the MRT to go to the Weekend Market, which took about 30 min to get there by the subway. It's about 3:30pm now. We spend two hours there.
She brought some things and we went back to Chinatown to eat, bc we were running out of time!
When we arrived on Hua Lumphong MRT station, which is the end of the line. She was hungry and needed to go to the restroom. The restroom is located on the Hua Lumphong Train Station. As we exit, she mentioned to me, "That's IT!" That's Roti Buns! WHAT??? I said. The story goes like this: all the time we spend looking for this bread company on Siam Square, which closed down, was right here all this time. When we looked for this Roti Bun, she didn't know the name of the company, " Only Roti Bun" . We spend hours looking for this company, and no luck at all. Now, it's right here and the name was "Mr. Bun!"
As she brought 4 of these buns for 12 bahts each, went to the restroom, which she insisted that I go with her. I mean, "C'mom do I have to go with you" Christ, It's the restroom is over there and you can go by yourself routine.
Afterward, we brought some crepes for 30 & 25 bahts, bc Cebu Pacific flight, doesn't give you any foods or drinks on the plane, but they'll sell you these items.
The time is 6:45p, and we jump on the bus back to Chinatown main area. She's hungry, and I told her earlier that I'll take her to eat some jumbo shrimps or prawns. The place that we wanted to go, was PACKED! We couldn't wait, and my gf got upset about the way the waiter treated us. (if you seen it, they've treated anyone that way. There's just too many people waiting)
So we lefted, and went to the next block to eat. Remember now, that this is Chinatown and the weekend, so there a lot of people and tourists eating out on the street. That's the way Chinatown is all over the world, at least, that's what I know of.
I ordered Oysters with scrambled eggs, which is famous to eat in Southeast Asia. In order for this to be really good, the Oysters have to be really fresh. It's was ok to me, and the cost 100 bahts. She didn't eat it, and complained that it was oily and didn't taste good. I think she, just doesn't know or like Chinese foods. The whole trip for her was KFC, McD, Mr. Donuts. I told her that you should try the other foods, bc you can eat that at home!
7:30p now, and finished eating. I went across the street to order some pork fried-rice to go, but it took so long, bc they had a lot of order and is cooking the food one at a time. Cost 30 bahts.
8P, we make it back to the hotel to pick up the luggages, and off we go to catch the bus to the airport. Gf is dying to go home to Manila.
Waited for the bus, until 8:22, then missed the stop at the Victory Monument. The cost for an a/c bus is 14 bahts.
Waited for some time for the 551 airport bus. finally it came around 9:22, the cost is 34 bahts each.
We get to the end of the bus terminal, and had to take an free airport shuttle bus to international terminal. The time is 10:15pm. Being a wise guy, I mentioned, that "What if we don't make it?", "We might have to spend another day?" Getting this look, that's isn't so kind! Maybe a dirty look!
Make it passed immigration & security check points. Stop to eat some of the foods that we brought.
When mentioned that "this is your last chance to stay!" and I laughed!
Get to the sitting area before the plane, we're on!
She smiles and says to me, "FINALLY, I'm going HOME!"...............................................
Are you sure????? What if we crash????? I mentioned, and laughed. I wasn't well received, lol
Signing Out, and What a day!

Thursday: Erawan Temple By The World Cental
I had to go to this temple, b/c it's on the open street and is very popular among tourists. It seems that everybody goes there.
One has to pray, put inscent sticks, candles and flowers to the gods on all 4 sides. Some people pay to have a Thai dance to the gods, while kneeling down and praying.
Also, like all religions, there's the people out front of the temple, selling all the items you need to ccomplete your prayers to the gods.
I'll be going to more temples tomorrow to ask for more forgiveness from my parents and the gods for treating my parents very bad, when I was growing up! Asked my mother for forgiveness, but never to my father. Now, I'll ask for that tomorrow.
What a shame! It took me 49 years in my life to realize this! : (

Bad News On Tuesday From The States
I was thinking about my Mom, so I called there from Bangkok.
The person told me. " You don't know?" I said, "Know about what?" He told me, that my mom had passed away couple of weeks ago. I was shocked and upset. I felt very irresponsible about not being there.
You see, I visited my mother almost everyday and as much as I can to keep her spirit and give her support as much as I can.
For me, that's the happiest moment in my life! My mom, just being alive, seeing her, holding her hand and talkng to her was enough for me.
For Those that don't know, maybe someday you'll understand this? There's only one Mother in your life, so make the best of it! They give you the best that they can do, and I think you should return the obligation!
I haven't been the best son in the world for both of my parent, but I did asked for my mother's forgiveness on her bedside. As disoriented as my mother was, she acknowledged this! That made me feel like something lifted off my chest.
All I can tell everyone is to love their parents, b/c I know and realize I do! Unfortunately, it took me 49 years of my life to realize this. This is very SAD!
I LOVE YOU, MOM & DAD! THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL LIFE YOU GIVEN ME!
P.S. I'll be going to the temple tomorrow!

Lounge Lizard's Hang Out
They had a round table discussion about the States, and the devaluation of the USD.
Some were saying that the States are Fucked! Some disagreed. I put in my 2 cents. I mentioned that if the States falls, than the rest of the world will fall and suffer along the way.
Other discussion was on the middle east, on how they were divided, and is it right that the foreigner had a hand in it? The Arabs did side with the Germans and lost the war. In war, if you lose, you get conquer, and lose your land. Why else would they be fighting for? That's what most war is about.
It was interesting, but I had to leave, b/c I left my gf in the room. She wasn't feeling well today.
The time was 12:15am

Pizza With Bangkok Buddy
It's all you can eat pizza (Thai style) for only 149 bahts, with drinks. I wasn't too impress with the pizza, b/c I eat pizza all over the world. For Thailand, it's ok, but not for me.
Bangkok buddy Loves eating all you can eat/ buffets, b/c he wants to gets his money worth, and he loves to eat, eat, and eat. He claims that I eat more than him, but I don't think so. I, just pace myself better, and know better not too. I have to control myself, or I'll pay the price for stuffing myself. : ()

Friday- Finally, My Front Implants Are IN & Finished!
Yes, they are finally in place. How is it? The're all right, I guess.
Hey, what am I complaining about? I have teeth now, better than no teeth at all and wearing denture, which is a bitch and uncomfortable to wear.
Maybe in a few months, everything will be cool. I, probably need more, as the dentist recommended. My gf told me that she can get me better pricing in the Philippines. We shall see!
Look MOM, I can Smile NOW!
: )
Hey, what am I complaining about? I have teeth now, better than no teeth at all and wearing denture, which is a bitch and uncomfortable to wear.
Maybe in a few months, everything will be cool. I, probably need more, as the dentist recommended. My gf told me that she can get me better pricing in the Philippines. We shall see!
Look MOM, I can Smile NOW!

Buffet In Bangkok (Thursday)
I met up with the famous Bangkok Buddy to eat Buffet in Bangkok. The place is called "Oishi," it's a all you can eat place for 380 bahts, but you have only 1 hour and 15 min. to finish.
It's all Japanese foods. It was good, but I don't like the time frame of having to finish eating by this time, or else?
I ate many food, and B-Buddy, really enjoy himself. My gf didn't go, but she walked around to check out the shopping in Robinson's. She didn't like it. She's more stuck on Philippines is better, like I think America is Better. Yeah! But we're in Thailand, and not at any of these places, so enjoy yourself.
What I can't stand is someone bitching about the place they travel to. Why are you here??????? Why bother going??? You're suppose to enjoy it, and explore to see new things in life. There are many things in Thailand, that they don't have in other countries.
As I get older, I realized that I have been to many places, where many people I know have never been to. I'm blessed.
Thanks, Mom and Dad for the wonderful life, I have!

Eating In Bangkok Chinatown
I love eating here. Price is right (30-50Baht). All the Chew Chau Chinese food I can eat. I told me gf, that I can stay here and eat, eat, eat!
The other day, we were eating. The food (seafood platter) was good, but I forgot to tell them not to make it spicy. So, the food was very hot for both of us. My gf, ended up eating most of the seafood platter. The cost was only 65 bt. I had to eat again, so I ate the chicken over rice, which costed about 30 bt. It was good, and I was a happy camper.!
Yesterday, we had Big Prawns! 10 Prawns for 300 bt. That's a deal. The prawns weren't too fresh. Oh, well, next time, we'll try to different place. Going to do that again! I like it!

Chinatown: Traffic Problems
Traffic is really something around here (Bangkok): From traffic jams to Jaywalking!
There's one thing I can tell you is, that if you're not alert, you can be injured, or killed. My gf brought it to my attention, that there aren't too many traffic light, and people here don't follow the law. Everyone is jaywalking. That's not the problem. It's the way they are doing it. These cars are going pretty fast for being in cities street.
Manila, has the same problem, but the traffic is much slower. Outside of Makati, everything is fair game in Manila. it's another world! Same in Bangkok, if you're in the tourist areas, it's not that bad, but if you're outside of there............................... LOOK OUT!
Of course, this is ASIA, and there will be no COMPENSATION HERE!
But in the States, it's reverse!
I LOVE AMERICA!!!

Yesterday, Went To Khao San Road
Yesterday, It was funny, b/c I hadn't taken the boat in maybe 15-20 years in Bangkok.
I stay in Chinatown, and didn't realize that the boats are only 5 min. away. The first boat in some many lost years, I took, just went across the river. We, both started laugh, b/c it was silly, that we didn't know better.
After that, we took the express to Khao San, which is # 13 exit. We walked around and I visited an old friend, Boonchai, whom I know, since 1986. SHIT! how time flys. I was only 26 then.
We got around to talking about the past and all the bullshit, then I left to eat at Mcdonald's on my gf's requested. Of course, I would never go, unless I have to go. I'm not going all the way to Asia to eat at McD's. I'll eat there if I want to try something there, that we don't have in the States, like Mc fried Chicken, or a taro pie.
After that we walked to Bo Bae, then back to Chinatown.

All We Did Was Walk, Walk, Walk In Bangkok
My gf was complaining, but I wouldn't hear it! Hah, you wished it was like that! When a woman complains, you'd better listen, b/c you're going to hear a ear full!
I admit it, that it isn't right, but she told me it's okay, when we started out. Then as the walk progressed, it got worst for her. I don't know, maybe I'm used to walking and doing things by myself in Bangkok or everywhere I'm at. I'm use to being solo, and now it's two doing things.
But, you know what, she's a tough woman, but she, just got use to having a easy, good life in the Philippines. I don't blame her.
Anyway, the blisters on my feet is the proof that I'm tired and sored by the end of the day.

Lost In Bangkok!
Yes, The Robster does get LOST, even in Bangkok. Although, I've been here on and off for 20+ years, I still get LOST, and the worst part is with my gf, and that's not pleasant thng to do with other people with you, but it does happen, if you hang out with Rob.
Anyone, who doesn't get lost, especially in Los Angeles is not human! Bangkok is understandable, b/c most Thais can't speak english, so you're in Shit Creek, dude!
It's not that easy, unless you're in the tourist areas. Outside of Bangkok, you're Fucked, unless you know, a little Thai. The Robster can, just barely get by! Can you imagine asking where the bus is, and they don't have the slight idea, What you're talking about????????
Luck me, ; )
